Carole Wood was the airline hostess who is famous as a second wife of English-Australian country singer and guitarist Frank Ifield, who incorporated yodeling.

Frank Ifield, the self-learned singer 

Frank Ifield was born in 1937 in England to Australian parents, Richard Joseph Ifield and Hannah Muriel Ifield. 

His musical journey started in Australia, where he listened to hillbilly music, which is later called country music. 

When his grandmother gave him a guitar, he started self-learning playing musical instruments, and also singing.

He also taught himself yodel by imitating country stars such as Hank Snow.

The self-learned singer's most significant breakthrough is a cover version of Victor Schertzinger and Johnny Mercer, 1941 composition, 'I Remember You,' which came out in 1962.

It was the number one hit on the UK singles chart, the second highest-selling single of UK that year, and seventh million-selling.

Another biggest hit of him was 'Love Sick Blues,' 'The Wayward Wind,' and 'Confession That I Love You.'

His success was reaching a new height, but unfortunately, he had to take a break from singing because of the damage of his vocal cords from Pneumonia in 1986. 

He returned with a dance remix of 'She Taught Me How to Yodel,' which was renamed as 'The Yodelling Song.'

It was billed as Frank Ifield feathering the Backroom Boys, which reaches number 40 in the UK singles chart.

Got married after four years of divorce

Carole Wood and Frank tie the knot in 1992.

But she is not the first wife as it was the second marriage of her husband after four years of divorce.
