Bill Higgins is a real estate broker mainly recognized as the husband of American businesswoman and investor Barbara Corcoran. 

Higgins is a former FBI agent and retired Navy captain who also served in a Golf War.

How did he meet his future wife?

Higgins and Corcoran, during an interview with Yahoo Life, shared how they first met. 

According to the Power Couple, they first met at the real estate conference that was held in Suffern, New York. 

Barbara was the broker from Manhattan, and everyone wanted to meet her, but he didn't go to her until she was leaving, Higgins recalled. 

Corcoran said Higgins went up to her and introduced himself, and she thought what a jerk he was. 

She said she then pursued him for probably six months, and on the other hand, he played hard to get.

Every time they had a board meeting, they would go dance with their top salespeople. 

One day, Higgins asked her for a dance, and when she put her hand in his hand, she felt like she would be fine for the rest of her life. 

Higgins finally popped the question, but her thought was, "Eh, I am not sure. I will give it a whirl". 

But they were sure that they were in it and were definitely committed to it, she expressed.

The couple married in 1988 and have been together since then.

Father of six kids

Higgins is the proud father of his six kids. He shares four kids with his ex-wife. He shares two kids with Corcoran. 

He and Corcoran welcomed their first child, son Tom, in 1994 via in vitro fertilization with an egg donated by Corcoran's sister Florence. 

They later adopted a daughter, Katie Higgins. The couple is also a proud grandparents.

His wife wished he cheated 

Corcoran, while appearing on Hannah Berner's podcast back in April, when asked about the last time she experienced extreme anger, replied saying that she was furious at Higgins when she discovered he was not having an affair. 

According to her, she went to a psychic, and the psychic told her that her husband was having an affair and the woman she described sounded like a woman he previously dated before her. 

Corcoran said she hired an FBI agent for a week to follow Higgins around for a week. The agent took pictures and sent them to her. 

When the agent came back, he said to her that her husband was having an affair with Circuit City on Route 4, New Jersey. 

He was addicted to electronics, but she was angry with him because having an affair would have been more normal.

His wife made millions after her long-term boyfriend left her for her secretary

Prior to marrying him, his wife was in a long-term relationship with her then-boyfriend Ramone Simone, who later turned her business partner, too. 

In 1973, her then-boyfriend loaned her $1,000 to start a New York City real estate company with him. 

They had a business for seven years before her then-boyfriend announced that he was marrying her secretary. 

Corcoran said she was making pasta for her three step-children when he said he was marrying her secretary and thought it to be a joke but instantly realized that it was not a joke. 

He told her to take her time moving out, but it took her just a minute to move out. 

When she was halfway out of her door, he told her that she would never succeed without him, and she knew everything in her bones that she would rather die than let him see not succeed. 

She then went on to stay with her best friend in Manhattan. It took her a year to finally bid goodbye. 

She said she wasted time torturing herself, which she should have never done. 

After a year, she mustered the courage to say that they were ending their business. 

They split their 14 people in half, and she moved her seven people into the new space on Monday morning with their possessions. 

It became her second business, her fortune, and her love in life. 

Eventually, they became the number one real estate agent in Manhattan and later sold that business for $66 million.
