He came from middle-class family background, and his father used to work at a factory in Madrid, and his mother was a housekeeper. 

He has three siblings. He started playing football with his brother at home, which led him to enroll in Atletico academy.  

He joined the Academy of Atletico Madrid when he was eight years old.
