Her parents are no longer together
She was born to her parents, Moroccan-born father Mounir Nasraoui, and a mother whose identity has not yet been revealed.
Her stepmother is Equatorial Guinean mother Sheila Ebana.
She was raised alongside her two brothers, Lamine and Keyne. Mounir and Sheila parted ways when her brother, Yamal, was just three years old.

Argentine football legend Lionel Messi's son Thiago revealed his dream of playing with Yamal in the future during a short interview video.
Thiago who was born on the 2nd of November, 2012 in Barcelona also revealed his dream of playing for Argentina one day.
He is currently playing for the U12s at Inter Miami the club his father joined last summer.
In a video posted by Mundo Deportivo, he said he would like to play with Lamine alongside his Inter Miami teammate Benjamin Saurezm, son of Inter Miami's striker Luis Suarez.

Yamal when asked in an interview if he or Fermin Lopez would get married first, said he is certain and that he plans to get married at 26.
He also shared the weirdest fan encounter where he was left speechless.
According to him, he was in an elevator when a girl went up to him and asked him for a picture and a phone number saying she needed it and that she didn't want it for anything but just wanted to have it.
"I was speechless, especially since we were in an elevator", he said.
