Axel Disasi

Axel Disasi is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Ligue 1 club Monaco. 

Born in France, he is of Congolese descent and represents the France national team. Disasi was born Axel Wilson Arthur Disasi Mhakinis Belho.

His career so far

Disasi, a youth academy product of Paris Fc, made his professional debut with Paris FC B in September 2016 and was later transferred to Reims. 

He moved to As Monaco after completing a transfer from Reims in August 2020 at the age of 22. 

Just after three months with the club, Disasi was given the role of vice-captain by then-manager Niko Kovac.

The Paris-Saint Germain defender Kimpembe was ruled out a few days before the World Cup tournament because he was not able to recover from the injury. 

Kimpembe was part of France's squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Later in the press conference, Disasi talking about the incident, once again said what happened with Harit on Sunday was tragic and sad, and he couldn’t imagine himself being in his place.

He also said the racial abuse and the criticisms had not touched him personally, and he had no time to think about it.
