When Jason was battling addiction for 10 to 12 years and for him to come back and be sober now and to show what recovery looks like, he thought it was an excellent opportunity to be cast in The Hill and to show that life and recovery are impressive and worth living. 

A big part of his role in the show was to show what substance abuse and mental health look like using it as a platform and bringing awareness to it. 

Besides his family life, being a married guy and father of two children became an excellent work opportunity for him. 

Jason’s Journey to Sobriety and Brain Wellness

Jason shared his goal with Dr. Daniel Amen at Amen Clinics. He talked about substance abuse, mental health issues, and brain issues. 

As he grew up, he wanted to see that he was in sobriety after many years of going through so many different trials and tribulations. 

He had wanted to see where his brain was and how he could take it further. He said he had done much work on himself over the years to get where he is today from a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual standpoint. 

Jason went through a public battle with addiction from the age of 18 to 23 years. 

He was pursuing his career in acting and working on a show, Laguna Beach, and later in The Hills. When he looks back today, he understands addiction and underlying issues with brain disorders. 

He can see that he struggled with substance abuse and or mental health brain disorders or problems.
