There is no information whether Aretha was married or not, but she had two kids with a man named Bailey Robinson, who used to work as a laborer.

Though they had two kids together, Bailey was only present for a short time in the family and just left them. Aretha then raised both the kids by herself.

Ray’s love life:

Ray’s first marriage was with a woman named Eileen Williams. They exchanged wedding vows on July 31, 1951, and later divorced in 1952.

Ray married a woman named Della Beatrice Howard Robinson. They exchanged wedding vows on April 5, 1955

They shared three kids together named Ray Charles Robinson Jr., David Robinson and Robert Robinson. They were married for 22 years and got a divorce in 1977.

Reason for divorce:

Ray and Della got divorced because Ray was extremely addicted to heroin and used to have many extramarital affairs. His volatile behavior was too much to handle as well.

Della never got married again.

Ray had problems with his eyes and had trouble seeing clearly since the age of 5. One day when he was in his house playing, he saw his older brother drowning in a big metal basket filled with water.

It was the basket that his mother used to wash clothes in. He tried to help his brother, but his hands were too small and weak, and he was unable to help.
