Gave up the green card after the wedding?

Anupama and Satya finally married in December 1992. As we know, Satya resided in the US and began working at Microsoft’s Redmond headquarters as a technical evangelist. 

The man already had a coveted green card. After the wedding, he planned to bring his spouse along with him to the USA. 

However, there arises a lot of complications of immigration which he mentioned in his book named Hit Refresh. 

Anupama would get a short-term tourist visa but would have to return to India shortly. 

Only one solution was there, and it was to give up a green card and apply for H1B skilled worker visa, which actually should be renewed and was temporary. 

The only benefit of it was the wife needed no waiting requirement. He further claimed the rule of law as perverse. 

Nevertheless, in 1994, he visited the US embassy situated in Delhi and insisted on returning his green card to a dumbfounded clerk. Later, they all got reunited and went well. 

Nevertheless, he confronted that he was not expecting the notoriety all over the college, which was pointing over him and saying that is the guy who gave up his green card. 

Anupama’s one child passed away

One of Anupama’s kids named Zain Nadella, died recently. Moreover, Mr. Nadella has requested the executives to give the space to grieve privately. 

Late. Zain was 26 years old but had suffered from cerebral palsy since birth. Born with that disease, a person has a problem maintaining posture and balance. 

Back in 2017, Satya posted that being a parent, it was upon them not to question Why but to perform all the activities that would make an improvement in his life. 

Further adding, he mentioned being a dad to a son with special needs was the major turning point in his life. It has made him understand the journey of people having those disabilities.
