Andrew Stevens

Andrew Stevens is an American executive, film producer, director, and actor also famous as the son of the late American actress Stella Stevens. 

He is the CEO and president of Andrew Stevens Entertainment and Stevens Entertainment Group.

He is the only child

Andrew is the only child of his parents, Stella Stevens and Noble Herman Stephens. 

His mom was just 16 when she quit high school and got married to his father in December 1954. 

But their marriage was short-lived as they got divorced in 1957. 

After Andrew was born in 1955, she went back to finish school, getting enrolled at the Memphis Evening School at Memphis Tech High school. 

Then she went on to Memphis State University, where she got her first big break as an actress. But before that, she was a fashion model. 

Stevens, in an interview, said her first job was at Goldsmith’s department store, Memphis’s largest department store. 

The store had a nursery as well, so she would take Andrew to the nursery while she went to work.

His career so far

Andrew got into acting after going back to Memphis. 

He went to school there, where he joined the drama group, where he won 30 to 40 trophies for his school in acting. 

He and his girlfriend went to win the duet state championship. 

After Memphis, he went on to study at USC, making films, and graduated as an actor, director, and director. 

He starred in his mother's directed film The Ranch in 1989. 

He starred in different movies and was also nominated for a Golden Globe award for his role in the 1978 film "The Boys in Company C" before he left the public eye in the early 1990s to focus on writing, directing, producing, and financing films for his own companies. 

Whenever he would direct films, he would put his mother in them. 

Stevens said she was very proud of her son, and being directed by him, she found him quite patient with the actors on set.

Cause of his mother’s death 

Andrew’s mother is no more in this world. She died on the 18th of February, 2023, in Los Angeles at 84. 

The news of her death was shared by Andrew himself. 

Andrew told The Times that his mother had been in hospice for quite some time with stage seven Alzheimer’s. 

He also said that the disease not only affected his mother but also his grandmother and great-aunt and that, hopefully, his mother will be forever remembered for her collaborations with some of the greatest entertainment industry icons.

All of his three marriages turned out to be a failure

Andrew has been married three times in his life. His first marriage was to actress Kate Jackson in August of 1978. 

They got married at Martha’s Vineyard after six months of courtship. 

According to the couple, they were searching for a place to go for vacation planning and thought they would go to Martha’s Vineyard but decided to get married just before they left. 

Without having a second thought, they took the midnight flight and went to the Boston Courthouse to get their marriage license and finally got the license after three days. 

However, their marriage could not last long. They got divorced in 1982. 

Following their divorce, Jackson, who was once head over heels in love and gushed about Andrew, changed her statement saying that she felt as if her ex-husband drove up to her bank account with a Brink’s truck.

Andrew then married Robyn Suzanne Scott in 1995, with whom he welcomed three children, Samuel, 25, Aubrey Estelle, 20, and Amelia Grace Stevens, 20. 

They got divorced in 2010. He married for the third time to Diana Phillips Hoogland in 2016 before getting divorced in 2018.
