Andrew Shingange is the brother of a famous comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, and talk show host Trevor Noah.

They also have a younger brother named Isaac Shingange.

A difficult childhood and home state

Andrew, Trevor, and their youngest brother Isaac grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Their parents were Patricia Nombuyiselo and father, Robert Noah, who descended from Swiss heritage.

It was when Andrew and Isaac called Trevor saying that his stepfather had shot his mother, Patricia. She was shot on the back of her head and out her nose.

Miraculously, the bullet went through, missing her brain and arteries. Patricia survived the barbaric attack with no fatalities to her internal organs. 

His stepfather was convicted of attempted murder. However, he was sentenced only to probation during that time.

While their mother was healing, she explained to her children, who were filled with anger. 

Trevor explained in an interview that his mother has asked him to forgive him. 

Trevor's mom explains that he is a victim in his own way. His world makes him perceive masculinity in the wrong way. 

His mother also explains that hatred will only hurt herself, and there is no need for it. 

Andrew and his brothers took a great deal to understand how forgiving, wise, and compassionate their mother is.
