Andrew Payan is the son of an American former record executive and the co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records, Suge Knight. 

Knight has collaborated with music legends Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.

His mother is Tia Rowe. Payan claimed to be the son of a music mogul, but it is still doubtful if he is his biological father. 

His mother, Tia Rowe, who was married to Ed Payan before he landed in jail for armed robbery, claims Suge Knight to be his biological father.

Back in 2012, actress Lindsay Lohan blamed him for jewelry theft. 

She blamed him for stealing $100,000 worth of watches and sunglasses during an all-night party hosted by Sam Magid in his Hollywood home, but Lindsay was the prime suspect. 

Payan claimed that Lindsay handed him the stolen items wrapped in a T-shirt which he later returned to Magid. 

Magid, later in an interview, said that Lindsay admitted to hiding the belongings in his home so that the burglars would not discover them and that she was on Ambien at the time she hid the jewelry and was hazy about what exactly happened. 

He also said that Lindsay asked him to pray for her.

Payan is gay and has been dating his boyfriend, Darren Michael Young. Both of them were convicted of theft back in 2018. 

He and his boyfriend stayed in a Resort in Lanai but attempted to flee away from the resort without paying room services, gift shop, purchases, and other charges. 

After several attempts to flee away, Payan finally made a plea agreement to pay the restitution. 

He was placed on four years probation and was ordered to finish paying restitution of about $5k.

Besides that, his boyfriend was hit by Georgia May Jagger’s then-boyfriend, Norman Theuekorn, at the Blind Dragon in WeHo. 

Theuekorn randomly approached Darren and touched his leg, saying he was beautiful, after which they asked him to leave. 

Norman came back 20 minutes later and hit him so hard on his head that it caused him to fall, resulting in internal bleeding in his brain.

It was so severe that it required emergency brain surgery. Norman was later arrested for seriously injuring Darren.

His father has been serving 28 years jail sentence

His father, Suge Knight, has been serving 28 years of a jail sentence for first-degree murder in Compton, California, that claimed the life of a local businessman, Terry Carter. 

The incident took place on January 29, 2015. 

According to TMZ, Knight ended up barreling his truck into two men outside a nearby burger stand after failing to get a meeting with Dr. Dre at an office for the movie Straight Outta Compton. 

He was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in September 2018.

Out of his 28 years of jail imprisonment, 22 years is for running over the victim and six years for his third strike under California’s three-strikes law. 

He is not given any prison release date but is eligible only for parole, and that can be only accessible in October 2034. 

This is not the first time Knight has served a jail sentence.

He was sentenced to nine years in prison in 1997 for probation violation but was granted early release in 2001. 

He was again sentenced to prison for violating parole in 2003.
