His mother taught him the values he has, being kind, showing respect, and also being nice. 

And then his sister took over. His sister, Melissa, is his agent and has been managing his career since the beginning. 

He said Melissa was battling cancer during the time she helped him transfer to Hoffenheim. 

He also said his sister takes care of literally everything in his life from a personal trainer, chef, and mental coach, whatever he needs, his sister takes care of it. 

He praised her saying she is the strongest human being he knows. 

Not only as an adult but Melissa as a child aged 12 or 13 also made sure her brother was on the right path. 

She used to go to his every game even though it was raining, snowing, or sunny. 

She started recording him on the pitch to know where he made a mistake which helped him get a trial at Hoffenheim. 

He said they have a solid relationship and even though it's not easy to work with one's siblings, they make it easy and have a great relationship and partnership. 

Even though she is his agent, she is still his sister. 

He wants to be remembered more than just a football player

During an interview, Amadou said he wants to break records and win as many trophies as he can, push all the barriers, and play as many games as he can. 

He wants people to remember him as the football player he is but more importantly, he wants people to remember the person he is. 

He wants to help as many people as he can, donate as much as he can, and do as much as he can for his people.

He said football is great but there is a life after football. He wants to be remembered for way, way more than just football.
