Alison Telfer

Alison Telfer is popularly known as the ex-wife of Terry Jones. She is Biochemist by profession. 

Terry is a multi-talented person who is a Welsh actor, writer, comedian, screenwriter, film director, and historian.

Married

Alison was dating Terry back then and they fell in love and decided to get married. Their wedding took place in the year 1970 in the presence of their family and friends.

She had two kids with her then-husband. Their first child after four years of their marriage in 1974 they named her Sally Jones and their son Bill Jones was born in 1976. Bill Jones real name is William George Parry Jones but people know him more as Bill.

The couple had a great understanding and they were on open marriage where they can have a sexual relationship with others. 

They both had an affair outside their marriage but that did not affect their relationships.

In 2005, Terry met beautiful Anna Soderstrom who is an Oxford graduate and only 23 years old back then. Terry was 64 years old and 41 years older than Anna. 

They met at a book signing in Oxford. 

Terry was immediately attracted to young Anna and Anna was a huge fan of Monty Python. 

Anna introduced herself to Terry in the book signing event and they started to chat and continued it over drinks and dinner.

Shortly after that, they started dating. 

When Alison earned about Terry’s affair with Anna who was 10 years younger than their own daughter, she immediately asked him to leave the house.

 Alison felt that dating someone who is decades junior than him have crossed the boundary of an open marriage.

Terry divorced Alison and ended their more than 35 years of marriage.

After his divorce, he got married to Anna in 2009 in a very private ceremony in which their family was also not present. 

Terry in an interview told that only his daughters and the next-door neighbors were present at their wedding.

 They kept their married secret from media for almost about a year and later reveal it. They went to Paris for their honeymoon.

In an interview, Terry told that sex was his hobby.

 There were also rumor that Anna joined Oxford University Middle Eastern Dance Society because Terry wanted to spice up their love life and he enjoyed sex games and role play.

 In September 2009 Anna and Terry welcomed their first child as a baby girl and named her Siri Jones.

After her divorce from Terry, there has been no rumor about Alison dating or getting married to anyone.

Terry suffered from primary progressive aphasia which is a rare form of dementia when he was 74 years old. 

Terry was joined by Alison and his daughter Sally when he walked with 3500 people in London Memory Walk to unite against dementia.

Unfortunately, Terry died at the age of 77 years on 21st January 2020 at his house in North London from complications of a rare form of dementia. 

All his close family members including his wife and children were devasted by this news. Alison too was heart-broken hearing the news of Terry’s death.
