Her parents, Alan Jackson and Denise Jackson were high school sweethearts before they tied the knot in December 1979.

Ali is the middle child of her parents. She has an older sister, Mattie Denise Selecman, born in 1990, and a younger sister, Dani Grace, born in 1997.

Her older sister Mattie went through tragic pain after she lost her husband, Ben Selecman, on the 12th of September 2018, just after a year of their marriage. 

Mattie opened up about the loss of her husband in her book "Lemons on Friday." 

While talking about her book in an interview with People, she reflected on the day she lost her beloved husband. 

She told People that she and her husband, Ben, were still in their honeymoon phase when an unexpected thing happened. 

She and her husband, with their friends and family, had gathered to celebrate the Labor Day holiday on her father's boat. 

The dock was wet and then just slipped, causing him to fall back and hit his head. She recalled,

"It was a pretty long fall and was one of those things where it's almost like watching somebody play high school football where they shake it off. They're awake, and they start to get back up, and maybe they have a mild concussion."

But it took a major turn when they realized it was something serious. 

He was rushed to the hospital and was kept in a medically induced coma for 11 days after it was discovered that his brain was swelling. 

When it was time for him to wake up, he suffered from multiple strokes and extensive brain damage within minutes of being woken up due to a blood clot that had broken off in his cranium. 

His heart began to fail shortly after, and he passed away. It took Mattie a long time to heal from the pain, but it was faith that kept her alive.
