Alexa Jeong is born to parents Ken Jeong (father) and Tran ho (Mother).

Her father, Ken Jeong, is a popular Korean - American actor, comedian, producer, writer, television personality, and licensed physician. 

He is best known for his comic timings. Ken is famous for his role in popular series called 'The Hangover Film Series.'  

He is also part of a much-appreciated movie worldwide, which is 'Crazy Rich Asians.'

Ken was born in Michigan to his South Korean Immigrants parents. He was brought up in North Carolina. 

His family was very serious about studies since their childhood. 

So, he was very attentive and also a medical student in Louisiana, where he engaged himself in the theatre. 

After getting a degree from Ochsner Medical center, Ken moved to Los Angeles and practiced medicine for several years as a physician at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Woodland Hills.

After that, he engaged himself at The Improv and Laugh Factory Clubs regularly. 

That's how he starts getting offers for television. 

He gave up his doctor profession in the year 2006 to become a full-time actor. 

His wife also supported him for his decision to quit the health profession.

Her mother, Tran ho, is also a doctor by profession.

Parents Love Story 

Her mom Tran is Vietnamese-American and born & raised in the United States. Tran's family also has full of doctors. 

Ken and Tran both met each other while working at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Woodland Hills as they were colleagues. 

That's how the couple got along and dated each other for two years before their marriage. 

The couple tied the knot with each other in September 2004. 

There is not much information about their wedding ceremony and other details regarding that.

After their marriage in the year 2007, the couple was blessed with two beautiful twins daughters named Zooey Jeong and Alexa Jeong. 

The couple was so happy with the arrival of two beautiful angels in their life. 

Soon after the year of birth of their twin's Tran got diagnosed with breast cancer, and the news was so traumatizing and horrifying for their family. 

Tran went for almost sixteen Chemotherapy sessions and mastectomy. 

But by god's grace in the year 2010, she was cured fully with the help of radiation therapy. 

But during the entire sessions, he husband and family were her side all time and encouraged her to be happy and positive.

Currently, the family is living in Calabasas, California.

Ken Jo heartbroken over wife's cancer battle

When Tran was diagnosed with cancer, the doctor had said that she had only 23 percent of survival. At that time, Ken had left his doctor's job to pursue his career in comedy. 

He was devastated by the news as he had no job and recently had twins. It was the worst time of the comedian's life.

 While Tran's treatment was going on, Ken's role on the movie The Hangover as Leslie Chow got famous. Only the film's director Todd Philips and his co-actor Bradley Cooper were only aware of what was going on in Ken's life.

 His wife finally became cancer-free three years later, and there was no turning back on Ken's career as well.

Ellen mentioned that she was on steroids, muscle relaxers, and a shot of Toradol. After the shots, she takes two Advil and two Tylenol. 

Ken considered it useful as his wife, who was also a doctor, said that if one takes Advil and Tylenol together, it is effective as some narcotics. 

Talking about Emmy's, Ken stated that he enjoys going to Emmy like a cool date night with his wife. He has a twin daughter named Alexa Jeong and Zooey Jeong, twelve years old, as of 2019. 

Ellen wanted to know whether his daughters are fond of his acting and do they think him funny, to which Ken responded they don't. 

Ken shared his 50th birthday karaoke party at a Karaoke bar called the 'Brass Monkey' in downtown LA organized by his wife. 

He further added how they rented it for a night with lots of friends and family and enjoyed the party. Ellen then asked him about the second season of his show 'The Masked Singer' and the changes they can see this season.
