Alberta Dornan is the youngest daughter born to the actor, model, and musician, Jamie Dornan. 

Dated for three years before marriage 

Jamie Dornan and his would-be wife Amelia Warner both met at a party in California through a common friend. 

Somehow, their vibes matched, and both of them started dating. 

After two years of dating, her parents decided to make a real-life commitment to life. 

So, in the year 2012, the couple got engaged. She is also an English musician, actress, and composer too.

He agreed and went on to say that he had gone through his sisters dressing him from wigs to lipstick to his kids doing the same thing.

Obsessed with dad's song and dance number

Alberta, along with her sisters, is obsessed with their dad's song and dance number from Barb and Star. 

The scene from his 2021 comedy Barb and Star Go to Vista del Mar where her father is seen singing to a seagull and frolics on a beach is on their most-watched list. 

In an interview, Jamie revealed that even their two-year-old Alberta, who is now three is obsessed with the song and wants to watch it all the time, probably making the most-watched YouTube playlist. 

He added that his daughters have recently started to appreciate his job sparked by his brief voice acting role in Trolls World Tour. 

Having seen his daughter's real obsession, he admitted to pleading to the Universe to let him be in the Trolls World Tour and landed a little part in it, which was very exciting for his daughters that their dad was a part of it. 

He found out that Alberta's elder sister was trying to explain Alberta pausing Trolls World Tour at the point where his character would come in saying who she was about to see and hear was their dad. 

He sat with them and was like going, That's Daddy! But then, two-year-old Alberta was not getting it because the information was a high concept for her.  Humorously, he added there's a work to be done there.

Jamie Dornan talks about Belfast

According to Dornan, the offer for the role in Belfast came about at a strange time as it was amid the first lockdown of Covid-19.  

He was feeling sort of unsettled as to what was going to happen next when he, out of nowhere, got a text from his agent. 

Dornan says he always thinks the best news or the most exciting things in his career comes via text from his agent. 

So his agent texted him, saying Kenneth Branagh is making a movie called Belfast, and he wants him to be in the movie called Belfast and that they want him to read the script.  

After reading the script that day, Dornan met Branagh the next day. It was a very quick and easy yes, said Dornan. They were the first UK production to shoot in the UK during Covid. 

Belfast is a semi-autobiographical film about the childhood of Kenneth Branagh while growing up in Belfast, where they went from 1969 when he was just nine years old, and follows the beginning of the conflict which would go on for three decades. 

So the movie is sort of a 9-year-old boy’s account of his family and how they were dealing with the situation at the time. 

The story is portrayed through the eyes of a young boy. Dornan plays the role pa who wants to give his family a better life. 

And Dornan was the only actor Branagh considered for the role in Belfast.

Dornan did audition for the Thor when Branagh directed way back in 2011, but he says he didn’t talk about it to him humorously, adding that he doesn’t think he even saw his tape as it was that bad. 

When asked if the audition was for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, he said it was not for Thor but one of the superhero’s smaller buddies.  

According to him, he grew up with the picture of Branagh on their bookshelf of him and his dad. 

His dad, who was a professor of medicine, had opened a maternity ward at the hospital. So there is a picture of his dad with Branagh and a couple of doctors always in his house.
