Akram Afif

Akram Afif’s real name is Akram Hassan Afif Yahya Afif. 

Professionally, he is recognized as a Qatari footballer portraying the role of a left winger for Al Sadd club and the Qatar national football team. 

Originally, he belonged to Doha, Qatar. He was born to Hassan Afif, who is known as the Somali football manager and also as a former football player.

Followed by his retirement, he managed Al Gharafa from 1986 to 1987 and then from 2001 to 2003, and from 2006 to 2007, he managed Al Markhiya. 

His mom, Fayza, belongs to Yemen. Young Akram also learned Spanish in his transfer to Sevilla and then graduated in June 2015 from Aspire Academy. 

His international career 

He debuted his international career in September 2015 after manager Daniel Carreno called him up for th national squad. 

On 3 September 2015, he scored his first goal for the national team while playing against Bhutan. He also provided an assist in the match. 

He also provided ten assists during the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, which set a record in the tournament. 

He was also awarded the AFC Asian Cup Team of the Tournament in 2019. 

Akram, to date, has presented in his home country at the U19, U20, U23, and also at the senior level.
