Agnes Wilson is famous as the mother of H.E.R. Her full is Agnes Maya Sarmiento. Agnes is a nurse by profession who works with rehab patients. 

As of now, she is working as a registered nurse at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital. She was born in Cabanatuan City, Philippines. 

Her parents moved to America when she was young. Her nationality is Filipino American. She was brought up in Vallejo, California. 

Agnes completed her high school at Vallejo High School and graduated from Napa Valley College.

Her husband influenced their daughter to pursue a career in music

Agnes Wilson has been happily married to her husband, Kenny Wilson. Kenny was a musician in the Urban Bushmen Band. 

Kenny is also the one who introduced his daughter to music at a very young age. 

In an interview, he said that he followed in the footsteps of his grandmother, who used to play piano in the church, and he had made a promise to himself that if he ever had children, he would introduce them to music, teach them to love music just like his grandmother taught him. 

Kenny would listen to different singers with Gabi, and he would teach her to play the guitar, which influenced her in a positive way, and she wanted to be a real artist. 

Kenny used to tell her all those stories and lessons of music, which were fascinating for her, and she thinks they really carried her into this life and into this journey she has now. 

For Kenny, music was a way to connect and bond with his daughter. H.E.R. paid tribute to her father on her Instagram by posting a video where she and her father are seen playing music together. 

She captioned the post as, 

No one ever sees the journey, they only see the success. No one sees the foundation that was built, sometimes broken, over time. If anyone knew what my life would look like today, it was my dad. My dad has missed many many days of working construction to travel with me. He sacrificed so much, so I could live my dream. Through their marital bliss, they became parents to two adorable daughters. 

They welcomed their first daughter on June 27, 1997, and named her Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, who goes by her stage name H.E.R. 

Gabriella, short for Gabi, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, and guitarist. 

She started her career at the young age of ten. At the time, she performed as Gabi Wilson. 

At the age of nine, she also made an acting debut by playing the role of Gabi in School Gyrls. Her debut single album was "Something to Prove." 

Her breakthrough came when she released her debut Extended Play, H.E.R. Vol. 1, on September 9, 2016, which was supported by Usher, Tyrese, Wyclef Jean, Pusha T Alicia Keys, and Bryson Tiller. 

The clip of one of the songs, Focus, was then shared by Rihanna on her Instagram, which led to the clip being watched 5 million times.

H.E.R., in an interview, said that her mother has been inspiring her love for music since she was in her womb, as she would hear her father play music even in her mother's stomach. 

On April 25, 2021, Agnes accompanied her daughter to the 93rd Annual Academy Awards, where she witnessed her daughter receiving the Grammy Award. 

In 2020, when the world went into lockdown due to Covid-19, H.E.R.'s mother was providing her services as a nurse. 

So, as a proud daughter, she honored health workers who were putting their lives at risk serving the patients. 

Even though her mother was not directly involved in taking care of Covid-19 patients, she was still worried as her mother was going to the hospital on a daily basis and was surrounded by Covid-19 patients. 

Agnes makes frequent appearances on her daughter's social media. Once, her daughter shared a funny clip of Agnes cuddling with an alligator. 

On December 16, 2019, Gabi posted a video of her mother singing her song in the car after it came on the radio with a caption,
