Aaron Wan-Bissaka is an English-born professional footballer. He is the defender at Manchester United. 

Wan-Bissaka is of Congolese descent because of his parents, who are originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

At the time, he would think that all his father did to him was just to annoy him and keep him in control, but today he realizes it was for a good reason. 

According to Wan-Bissaka, he would have gone down a different path if he did not have his family. 

His father would take him to the training, even sacrificing his job. Today he wants to pay them back for the sacrifices they have made in his journey by providing them with the opportunity of doing the things they missed out on.

He has a four years older sibling 

He is the second son born to his parents, mother Elizabeth, and father, Ambroise. He has a four years older brother Kevin who was born in Germany. 

Both siblings grew up alongside each other playing football at the park across the streets. His brother would take him along with him to play with the elder boys, which helped him be fearless. 

Their father would take them to the training by bus, train, and sometimes tram four times a week, even sacrificing his job. 

The routine continued until Aaron turned 11. Kevin played for Kingstonian and Walton before giving up the game at 21. He is currently working at a South London secondary school.

What triggered him to be the best version of himself?

He was 11 when he became a member at Crystal Palace. While at Palace, he was left loose, which allowed him not to take training too seriously. 

He slowly started skipping training and stopped paying attention to his diet. His father, who gave his heart and soul for them, was hurt when the people from the Palace hinted to him that the season could be the last season for his son. 

He could feel his father's pain at the time. It made him realize what mistakes he had made and triggered him to be the best version of himself. 

He was honored with the Crystal Palace Player of the Year Award in the 2018-19 season before his big move to Manchester United. 

Father of one

Wan-Bissaka is the father of a baby girl Amiri whom he shares with his partner April Francis. The couple became the parents of their first child in October 2020. 

April is an Instagram model influencer. She gives cooking tutorials, recipes, cooking tips via her Instagram account @cookingwithavril.

He sued his ex-girlfriend

Wan-Bissaka was dating Rhianna Bentley during his time at Crystal Palace. After three years of relationship, Bentley publicly dumped him following Marliesia Ortiz's online confession.

Ortiz confessed that she was sleeping with Wan-Bissaka and also revealed that Wan-Bissaka was going to father a child with another woman. 

Bentley posted on her Instagram alleging Wan-Bissaka fathering a child with another woman and posted pictures of their private conversation to suggest they were still together though the couple parted their ways in December 2019. 

Wan-Bissaka and his partner April Francis sued her and won the battle against her. Bentley was asked to take a vow to court by a written undertaking that she won't be publishing anything related to Wan-Bissaka or Ms. Francis.
