Ty Christian Harmon

Ty Christian Harmon is an American-born screenwriter mainly famous as the son of prominent Hollywood celebrities Mark Harmon and Pam Dawber. 

His father is best known for portraying Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the hit television series NCIS.

How did his parents meet?

His parents, Mark Harmon and Pam Dawber, first met each other in 1986. They were introduced by a mutual friend. 

At the time, Harmon wasn’t looking for a relationship as he had told People at the time that because he is of monogamous nature, he was fine being alone like he was at the time.

They got married a year later, in March 1987, in a private ceremony. 

According to the sources, their private wedding took place in Darmon’s old school in the San Fernando Valley, and they jetted off to Vancouver for their honeymoon. 

They have been together since then and still going as strong as ever. The couple has maintained a private relationship over the years. 

In a rare interview with People back in 2019, Harmon said that he is proud to be married and is proud of whom she is married to. 

He also confessed to having different personalities and not liking the same thing generally, but that has actually been healthy for them.

Ty Christian has an older brother Sean Harmon who was born in 1988. He is an actor and producer. 

Growing up, their parents managed to keep him and his brother out of the spotlight. 

Their mother gave up her acting career to raise them despite being at a career peak. 

During an interview with ET in 2016, she said she was in a number-one show but had her own deal. 

She got to do everything, musical theater, Broadway, cartoon voices, and did everything one can do in business, but once she gave birth to her children, she was like, she is not going to chase this fame thing, she said. 

She added to say that she wanted to be present in their children’s lives, from driving them to school to being there for their birthdays to bringing cupcakes and donuts to doing school festivals and all. 

Though it was a different life, she was delighted to do that, she explained.

She at the time also stated that Sean and Ty Christian still haven’t seen any of the work she has done as an actress because, for them, she is just their mom and doesn’t care about what she did. 

“They want their parents to care about what they are doing. Their father is already iconic enough for two boys. I am just the mom”, she explained.
