Who are the parents of Ricko?

Ricko was born to his parents, Lloyd and Amelia. Ricko’s father used to belong to San Francisco but later moved to Alaska, where Amelia was born. 

Ricko’s parents are no more, as he had stated in one of his Instagram posts, “My Late dad and mom Lloyd & Amelia Dewilde,” sharing a picture of them together when the parents were at ½ under the ground in the North Fork of the Huslia River. 

Siblings of Ricko 

Ricko is blessed with 13 brothers and sisters. One of his brothers, named Alan, is no more as he died in an accident at a young age. 

Even his sister Riba is no longer alive, as she died in a homicide incident. It was her own son Eli who killed her with a Winchester .338 rifle.

Eli claimed to do so in self-defense and said his mother used to abuse him emotionally. Eli accused his mother of sexually abusing him as well.

Ricko has been married to Rona Vent. They got married in 2013.

Rona sometimes works along with her husband during the hunt, as she has appeared in some of the episodes of Ricko’s show.

Ricko and Rona are raising five children together. Among them, three are daughters, and rest two are sons. 

The eldest child was daughter Simone DeWilde, who was born on June 5, 2004. Their second child was a son, Skyler Blue DeWilde, who is 12 years old. 

The third child was daughter Skarlett Haze DeWilde. Their youngest son is Keenan Nulitna DeWilde, who is eight or nine years old as of 2023. 

Finally, their fifth child was daughter Maya DeWilde, who is six years old.

Ricko stated on his Instagram post that it’s another summer for him with no salmon fishing in Alaska’s interior while the commercial fisheries run unrestricted and massacring the salmon before they can get to the rivers. 

He had also written in his post that Alaska’s natives are the undisputed caretakers of their land, and he wanted the people of Alaska, who are Native and non-Native, to do everything that they can do to manage their population of wolves and bears. 

Even the moose and caribou populations have been hit harder for a long time. 

The fish in Alaska have been decimated under the government's control, which is bad for them. 

Ricko also states if they see their herbivores go, then people in the village and their culture would be starved out. 

Ricko was aware of not waiting, and they should start to control this situation.

Ricko has been teaching his children the skills he has been using his whole life to survive. 

On one of his episodes of Life Below Zero, Ricko had gone fishing in the Yukon River with his kids. 

He saw burbot fish for the first time and started fishing with his kids. His youngest daughter, Maya, was the one who got the fish at first. 

Ricko shared that it’s beautiful having kids, being in the woods, and being happy out there. They cooked the food on the riverside and tasted it.
