Alessandra Gucci is famous as a celebrity daughter.

Her paternal grandfather initially did not approve of her parent's marriage

Her paternal grandfather, Rodolfo Gucci, did not approve of her parent's marriage when they got married in 1972 after their first meeting at a party in 1970. 

Rodolfo called Patrizia to be a social climber who had nothing in mind but money. 

Despite that, he still gifted them a luxury penthouse in New York's Olympic Tower. 

They later moved back to Milan in 1982, and three years later, Maurizio left the house, telling Patrizia that he was going on a short business trip to Florence. 

But the following day, he sent a friend to inform her that he was not returning and that their marriage was over. 

Patrizia officially divorced Maurizio in 1994 after Maurizio started dating Italian interior designer and former model Paola Franchi.

Patrizia, in an interview, said when Maurizio left her overnight, her love for him turned into hate. “In some days, I almost hated him, she said. 

She also said that she never stopped loving Maurizio, but he disappointed her, and that disappointment grew from the weakness that he showed to her. 

And that Maurizio never asked her for a divorce until Franchi came in the scene.

Her mother was convicted of her father's murder

Her father was shot four times by a hitman on the steps outside his office as he arrived at work on the 27th of March, 1995. 

Her mother was accused of hiring a hitman and was arrested on the 31st of January, 1997. 

As per the prosecutors, her motive was a mixture of jealousy, money, and resentment towards her ex-husband, and she didn't want him to marry his then-girlfriend Franchi because marrying her would have cut her alimony in half.

Her sister, Allegra Gucci, in an interview with Vanity Fair, opened up about the movie "House of Gucci," a movie inspired by the true story of the Gucci family, sharing what she found fault with the movie and why she decided to speak out. 

According to her, her mother is shown arriving at the house in Corso Venezia to send Franchi away, but the truth is that her mother never went there. 

However, the same day Alessandra went to ask for something of their father's. She said Alessandra wanted to smell his scent and hug him for the last time. 

She also cleared that her parents' over 13 years of marriage did not end because of Franchi as it is often reported in newspapers. 

Her father left her mother in 1985 when she was four and started having other relationships. 

Secondly, her father never wished to get married again and make a family, as shown in the movie, because he always told them that his family was them, she and Alessandra.

Alessandra and her sister spent 17 years visiting their mom in prison 

After her mother was found guilty of her crime, she was sentenced to 29 years in prison, but because she was diagnosed with a brain tumor, she asked that her conviction be overturned, claiming that the tumor had affected her personality. 

She attempted suicide in 2000 by hanging herself with a bed sheet but survived after she was found by the prison guard. 

She was released in 2016 after 18 years in prison because of her good behavior.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Allegra said she and Alessandra divided their time every Wednesday and Friday to meet their mom in prison. 

She said that their mother has many defects but a great virtue, too: an incredible spirit of survival. 

She and Alessandra would take a package with clothes, sheets, and dishes cooked by their grandmother, Silvana. 

It was a difficult time for them, and they continued to fight all those years because they always believed in their mother's innocence.

Alessandra is reportedly married and shares a son with her husband. She has been residing in Switzerland with her family. 

Similarly, her sister is also happily married to Enrico Barbieri in St. Moritz, Switzerland. She shares two children with her husband.
