Her parents are no longer together 

Aisleagh was born to her parents, John Carter and Fiona Jackson. Her mother is a casting director. 

She immigrated from her native, Ballyfermot, to North America in the late 1960s. While her father, John, is from Texas.

After their parents got divorced, Aisleagh and her elder brother, Joshua, moved to Vancouver with their mother. They were raised by a single mother. 

In an interview with Kelly Clarkson, Joshua shared how growing up with an absent father helped him become the man he is today. 

According to him, after his parents got divorced, his father sold the house. His father wasn’t a very good man, and he sort of took off. 

Joshua has been residing in his childhood home, which his father sold after their divorce. But how did he come up with buying his childhood home? 

Years back, he was in the neighborhood that that house was in and his friend was getting married there. 

When he went to see the old house, he surprisingly discovered that the mural of a dragon on the wall that was in his childhood room was still there. 

Joshua had asked the owner to contact him if he ever considered selling the house. 

When he finally bought the house, he thought he was buying it for him to heal that wound of his family rupture, but by taking his baby girl and putting her into the crib of his bedroom under the dragon, the feeling he had was powerful. 

As a father in that place, it’s just magical to witness her experience all the joys that he remembers from that place and be able to actually be on the other seat and know that he is going to provide her with a real man and real father in her life, he told Clarkson.

She shares a tight bond with her brother

Aisleagh shares a very tight bond with her brother. Her brother even took her on her first trip to buy a bra. 

She also has two paternal half-brothers, Jonathan Carter and Lyman Carter.

In October, it was reported that Jodie–Turner had filed for divorce from Joshua, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce is yet to be finalized.
